Artist Statement

I am a writer, watercolour artist and person who always seems to be doing something. I have my fingers in many pies – but all of them are delicious. A friend once told me that she saw a vision of me – with a whole bunch of coloured balloons and I tried to capture each one of them.

About the Artist

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, a sister and hopefully a friend to many.
I have been married for 42 years to a wonderful, caring and patient husband – we have three grown children who are married; we have 6 grandchildren.
I run a group blog at Under the Cover of Prayer.
I have published a children’s book called Tadeo Turtle.
I am a member of The Word Guild and Inscribe.
I volunteer at our local Pregnancy Care Centre.
I am actively interested in many missions. We sponsor a child in Sierra Leone; I have been to Poland 4 times to teach English at an Evangelistic Camp.
I gave my life fully to Christ in 2001 and life has never been the same since. Walking with Jesus.

Sunday Stillness – Psalm 112:7

Oh I was so excited to see this little bird hidden under the trees on our lake. I poked my head down quickly, zoomed in and took the shot – surprise – caught him.
We have many birds that go to this spot – ducks, cranes, and cormorants. Then this little guy – I tried to look him up on the Internet. I can’t find out what kind he is. Does anyone know?
We know from God’s Word that He looks after the birds. They don’t fret about the next meal, or even what their children are doing. Neither should we. As God’s children we are to look after our offspring as much as possible, then trust God to watch over them.
He cares for us – a whole bunch. Do you trust in Him?
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds (Luke 12:24, NIV)!
